PolitiPop aims to explore the blurry region where popular culture and politics collide, primarily in American film, television, music and mainstream media.

As a graduate student studying international affairs in New York City, I am currently writing my thesis on the societal influences of popular culture in the United States and abroad.  I hold bachelors degrees in English and philosophy and have worked in media since 2007.

I am particularly entertained by fake news, mindless action films, celebrity activism, comic books, young adult sci-fi literature, and costume jewelry.
